Uzbekistan has a well-defined list of offenses recorded through photography and videography

The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan (No. ZRU–1116 dated 02/04/2026) introduced additions and amendments to the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

According to the Law, a strict list of administrative offenses is established, which are recorded using special automated technical means of photo and video recording.

With the help of special automated technical means of photo and video recording, the following administrative offenses are recorded, including:

non-compliance with safety belt rules;

using the phone while driving a vehicle;

exceeding the set speed by no more than 20 km/h;

violation of the rules of stopping or parking and others.

The time limits for the application of penalties for these offenses are also clearly defined.

When recording violations of traffic rules by technical means of photo and video recording, an administrative penalty is applied no later than 1 month from the date of the offense.

In case of appeal against the decision on bringing to administrative responsibility, the penalty may be applied no later than 1 year from the date of the offense.
