A ninth-grader from the Tashkent region has created an invention that could save people from carbon monoxide poisoning, the press service of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education (MDSHO) reports.

The author of the development is Ozodbek Khoshimov, a student of the 9th grade of school No. 6 of the Zangiata district. The teenager has been studying for three years in the robotics circle of the children's school "Barkamol Avlod" in the Shaikhantakhur district of the capital.

As told in MDSHO, Ozodbek invented a device that sends an SMS notification of danger to the appropriate services in case of signs of carbon monoxide, fire or smoke.

"It was winter. When reports began to appear in the media that people were dying from carbon monoxide, I thought it needed to be prevented somehow. Then the idea of creating this invention was born," Ozodbek said. The author of the development expressed confidence that if it is integrated with the relevant services, such incidents will be avoided.

He also demonstrated how his idea works. If there is a fire danger, the device notifies the owners of the house and sends an SMS notification to the firefighters along with geolocation from the place of danger. It is noted that the process of patenting Ozodbek's invention is currently underway.

The ninth-grader was helped in the creation of this invention by the head of the circle Kamoliddin Abdukakhkhorov. The 22-year-old teacher has been leading a circle at the Barkamol Avlod children's school since 2019. The Ministry stressed that the participants of the circle, which he directs, have repeatedly become winners of competitions held at the national and international levels.
