Early voting in the elections of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local Kengashes has started in Uzbekistan today.
The Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan announced that early voting will last from October 16 to 23 this year, both on the territory of the republic and in diplomatic missions abroad.
On these days, the precincts for early voting will be open from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 11:00 to 17:00 on weekends. Polling stations in the foreign embassies of Uzbekistan will also be open from 9:00 to 18:00 local time.
The next parliamentary elections will be held on October 27.
According to the regulations, winners and prize-winners in the weight categories -60 kg, -66 kg and -73 kg among men, as well as -48 kg, -52 kg, -57 kg and-63 kg among women will be determined today.
One of the important issues in the elections of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local Kengashes is ensuring public order and security. The peaceful and stable environment on election day allows voters to vote freely, voluntarily and on the basis of international standards.
