As the main preventive measures, experts recommend:

timely vaccination;

compliance with personal hygiene rules;

consult a doctor at the first symptoms;

taking precautions in public places.

Special attention is paid to citizens planning trips to Hajj and Umrah: they are recommended to be vaccinated against meningococcal infection, and after returning, they are temporarily restricted from participating in mass events.
