For this purpose, for the first time in Uzbekistan, the Uzbekkhimmash plant has established the production of adsorbers that meet international standards.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, these devices play an important role in natural gas purification, and the first batch has already been delivered to the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department.
The project is being implemented as part of a localization program, which allows not only meeting domestic demand, but also expanding export opportunities.
The adsorbers are designed to remove sulfur-containing compounds from natural gas. These are large columns with a diameter of 3 meters, with a wall thickness of 100 mm and a length of 19 meters, capable of withstanding pressures up to 63 atmospheres. The weight of one such column is 147 tons. They are made of high-quality steel grade 09G2S-12 GOST 5520-17.
The adsorption process includes three stages:
1. Adsorption - purification of gas.
2. Regeneration - restoration of cleaning materials.
3. Cooling - preparing the device for the next cycle.
The adsorbers produced in Uzbekistan are characterized by high efficiency of natural gas purification from sulfur-containing compounds and extended service life. Under the contract with Uzbekneftegaz JSC, it is planned to supply 8 more adsorbers for the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department.
Previously, such devices were purchased abroad, but thanks to the localization program, their production in Uzbekistan has reduced the cost by almost half.
Another important achievement is that the Uzbekkhimmash plant has created more than 1,200 jobs for qualified specialists.
For reference: the company is capable of producing about 20 adsorbers per year. This allows us to fully meet domestic demand and at the same time expand exports, which contributes to improving Uzbekistan's competitiveness on the international market, developing industry, strengthening the economy and achieving technological independence.
