Abnormal winter colds pose a serious threat to wildlife. Wild animals living in high-altitude and desert regions find it difficult to find food in these conditions. In order to preserve biodiversity, products such as salt and feed have been delivered to the Khatak site of the Surkhan State Reserve in animal habitats.
For information: plants contain a small amount of salt, which is consumed by animals. Since plants and soil cannot provide a sufficient amount of salt in winter, herbivorous animals do not receive their quota of vitamins.
Similar biotechnical activities are also carried out in other areas of the reserve.
We remind you! Taking care of wild animals is a common environmental responsibility and duty of everyone!
