According to the Decree, the Academy of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan is being formed on the basis of the Higher School of Judges at the Supreme Judicial Council.
From October 1, 2025:
· The training of candidates for judicial positions is organized at the six-month professional retraining courses of the Academy on the basis of a state grant for judicial specializations.;
· The position of persons accepted for professional retraining courses remains with them throughout the entire period of study.;
· students of professional retraining courses are paid a monthly stipend in the amount of a monthly salary fund for an assistant judge;
· admission to professional retraining courses is conducted through a competition, which includes:
· tests in psychology, foreign languages and judicial specialization
· written exam;
· individual interview.
Persons who have received a certificate of successful completion of professional retraining courses, on the basis of an application, take part in competitions for vacant positions of judges.
Students who have not mastered the curriculum of professional retraining courses and have not successfully passed the final attestation exam, as well as graduates who have not applied for a vacant judicial position for up to three years or refused the proposed judicial position, fully reimburse the amount of the scholarship received.
