The Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University have entered the TOP 500 higher educational institutions in four areas of sciences (modern languages, mathematics, physics and astronomy, environmental sciences).

In addition, Uzbekistan is represented in industry ratings for the first time. The only Uzbek university participating in the industry ratings was the National Research University "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" (TIIIMSH), which is located in the range of 451-500 industry rating in Engineering Sciences and Technologies and in the range of 501-520 industry rating in Natural Sciences.

For reference: according to the results of the 2022 rating, the National University of Uzbekistan ranked 451-500 in the field of Mathematics, and this year it has risen by 100 positions in this direction.

"QS World University Rankings by Subject" - universities of the world in 51 fields of sciences are evaluated on the basis of a survey conducted between employers and the international scientific community, the prestige (reputation) of higher educational institutions in these fields of science, the "h" index and the citation of scientific articles published in these fields are evaluated on the basis of an international scientific base In addition, an assessment of indicators of international cooperation is carried out among universities based on data from the International Research Network (IRN)).
