Uzbekistan has announced a rating of the effectiveness of government agencies in combating corruption

    In Uzbekistan, an assessment of the effectiveness of measures taken to combat corruption in public institutions, organizations and local administrations was carried out. The results of the assessment were published by the Anti-Corruption Agency.

    The work was evaluated in the range from 0 to 100 points, and the results were divided into the following categories:

    • good: 42 organizations (score from 81 to 100 points);
    • satisfactory: 38 organizations (score from 55 to 80 points);
    • unsatisfactory: 15 organizations (score less than 55 points).

    The highest results in the fight against corruption were demonstrated in the Ministry of Mining and Geology (94 points), the Central Bank (93 points) and Uzkimyosanoat (90 points).

    In addition, the least effective anti-corruption efforts were recorded in the Inspectorate for the Control of the Safety of Water Bodies and Water Use (5 points), the Cinematography Agency (5 points) and the Inspectorate for the Control of the Use of Petroleum Products and Gas (9 points). It is also worth noting that the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation received an "unsatisfactory" rating (50 points).
