Every year, the demand for energy resources grows, which requires their rational use and reduction of losses.
In this regard, targets for saving electricity and natural gas in the regions for 2024 have been developed. These targets provide for keeping a specific part of resources through efficient consumption organization without creating obstacles to production.
A new procedure for conducting consumer energy audits is also being introduced. According to it, the energy audit will be carried out exclusively in accordance with international standards. Based on the audit, mandatory measures will be developed.
To ensure transparency, the energy audit results and the results achieved after it will be included in annual business plans and approved by the supervisory board.
Energy efficiency KPIs will be established for organizational leaders.
In addition, the issue of introducing a recalculation procedure using an increasing factor to the current tariff for violation of the rules for the use of electricity and natural gas by consumers is being considered, as well as introducing a fine in the amount of the cost of expected savings in fuel and energy resources for failure to comply with mandatory energy audit measures.
Another proposal is maintaining an energy consumption rating for organizations, regions, and real estate. The Ministry of Energy will rank the “Top 10” with the highest and lowest energy consumption and publicize this data in the media.
Energy saving targets and measures to implement them were discussed in detail at the presentation.
The Head of state emphasized the need for careful and in-depth study of the submitted proposals with the involved ministries and agencies and the advisability of introducing indicators for discussion by local councils of people’s deputies.
