Artisans will receive preferential loans and subsidies

    Presidential Decree No. PP-77 of 12/30/2021 "On measures to further improve the system of support for handicrafts" was adopted.

    In accordance with the Presidential Decree No. PP-55 dated 12/20/2021 "On additional measures for the development of family entrepreneurship and the expansion of sources of income of the population", 10 trillion soums are allocated to finance projects.

    As part of the family entrepreneurship development programs in 2022, preferential loans at a rate of 14% per annum are allocated to members of the “Hunarmand” Association – for the purchase of equipment, spare parts and raw materials for production needs, the creation of handicraft development centers, “Usta-Shogird” schools, the construction of museum houses and workshops or the purchase of buildings and structures for these purposes - for up to 3 years and for replenishment of working capital - for up to 18 months.

    It is established that:

    • in 2022, 500 billion soums allocated within the framework of family entrepreneurship development programs will be used to finance handicraft projects;
    • preferential loans are provided with the possibility of receiving cash;
    • the funds received from the repayment of concessional loans granted to artisans in previous years will be redirected to finance new craft projects;
    • “Hunarmand” Association together with commercial banks will create a system of constant monitoring and control over the effective use and timely repayment of concessional loans.

    At the same time on the electronic platform "oilakredit.uz " a separate section will be launched on the allocation of preferential loans within the framework of family business development programs for the online queue of artisans and lending to their projects.

    Since 2022, subsidies have been issued at the expense of the Fund for Attracting the Population to Entrepreneurship:

    • artisans who teach young people crafts in the traditions of "Usta-shogird" – in the amount of at least 2 BRV for 6 months to train students, purchase the necessary raw materials and provide students with a salary;
    • for students - for the purchase of equipment and consumables for starting their own business, as well as for masters to create websites - no more than 25 basic calculated value.
