The average salary in Uzbekistan in the first quarter exceeded 4.9 million soums

    According to the results of the first quarter of 2024, the average salary in Uzbekistan increased by 19.8% in annual terms and amounted to 4.92 million soums. Andijan region is the leader in terms of nominal salary growth - 25.2%, followed by Tashkent city - 22.3% and Ferghana region - 21.5%.

    According to the Statistics Agency, the highest average salaries by region were recorded in Tashkent city (8.1 million soums), Navoi (6.5 million soums) and Tashkent (4.8 million soums) regions.

    Relatively low salaries were noted in Surkhandarya (3.5 million soums), Kashkadarya (3.6 million soums) and Namangan (3.6 million soums) regions.

    By industry, the largest average salary is observed in the finance and insurance industry - 13.2 million soums, the second place is held by the information and communications sector (11.7 million soums), the third is transportation and storage (7.4 million soums). The lowest average salary remains in the areas of healthcare (3.2 million soums) and education (3.4 million soums).
