Following good traditions, the Imam Bukhari Mausoleum was visited first. Surahs from the Quran and dua were recited.
“We are on the eve of celebrating the 33rd anniversary of independence. May our independence be eternal, and may nothing darken the future of our country. May the Almighty help us in our work for the benefit of the people. The purpose of building this complex is to further elevate the honor of our ancestor, Imam Bukhari, and create a basis for glorifying his name throughout the world. May there be more such good deeds”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
As is known, a new Imam Bukhari complex is being built on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan. The area of the mausoleum has been increased to 600 square meters and the height to 28 meters. A mosque with a capacity of 10,000 people has been built. The 75-meter minarets at the four corners of the complex add grandeur to it. To date, construction and engineering work has been completed, and the finishing stage has begun. Particular attention is being paid to national traditions and warm colors.
The Head of state got acquainted with the construction and finishing work progress. He noted the need to introduce modern, safe management in the complex.
“This complex should become a strong spiritual foundation”, the President said.
Responsible persons have been instructed on restoring sacred pilgrimage sites in all districts and cities and on correctly presenting their history and content.
A museum, carved porches, administrative and service buildings are also being built in the complex. The Head of state also inspected the future museum.
