Malaysian company plans to launch production of electric scooters in Uzbekistan

    Uzbek Ambassador Karomiddin Gadoyev met with Elaine Tam, Managing Director of the Malaysian company Pro Events and Marketing Sdn Bhd, to discuss the implementation of investment projects in our country.

    The Malaysian side reported that it is considering the possibility of implementing a project to create a production of electric scooters, in particular 3- and 4-wheeled compact electric vehicles in Uzbekistan, the Dunyo news agency reports.

    According to preliminary estimates by the Malaysian side, the annual production volume will be 5,000 scooters. In the future, it is possible to increase this number to 10,000, given the potential for exports to Central Asian countries.

    It was noted that the localization of this production could further improve the quality of delivery services to the population of Uzbekistan.

    The Malaysian side also expressed its willingness to cooperate in the implementation of software for conducting medical diagnostics in humans using artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector of our country.

    At the end of the meeting, the management of the Malaysian company stated that it would visit Uzbekistan in the coming months to explore the prospects for the implementation of the designated projects.
