During the conversation, the Saudi side highly appreciated Uzbekistan's participation in the international book fair "Riyadh International Book Fair" as an honorary guest, as well as the organization of Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in the kingdom, the Dune news agency reports.

It was noted that cultural ties between the two countries are consistently developing, and the parties expressed mutual interest in further expanding cooperation.

The Minister of Culture of Saudi Arabia announced plans to hold Days of Culture of Saudi Arabia in Uzbekistan, emphasizing the importance of such events for strengthening humanitarian and cultural ties.

The Saudi Minister also confirmed his participation in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference, which will be held in Samarkand. During the visit, he also intends to visit the city of Bukhara and get acquainted with its unique historical and cultural monuments.

In addition, the Uzbek delegation received an invitation to the International Week of Artisans, which will be held in November in Saudi Arabia.

During the negotiations, special attention was paid to the prospects of cooperation in the field of studying and popularizing rare manuscripts. The Saudi side expressed its readiness to work together in this direction.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministries of Culture of the two countries. The Saudi minister noted that this document will become an incentive for intensifying cultural exchanges and expanding bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian field.
