In particular, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Ecology Jusipbek Kazbekov and Director of the Agency for Waste Management and Development of Circular Economy under the Ministry of Ecology Sharifbek Khasanov, 4 agreements were signed between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan aimed at promoting environmentally sustainable development.
Thus, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Agency for Waste Management and Circular Economy and the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The document provides for accelerating the transition to a green economy, developing environmentally friendly technologies, effective waste management and attracting investments in green projects.
In addition, the Agency has signed a memorandum with the Kazakh company ReBin on the development of modern solutions and the development of waste recycling.
Also, in the field of electronic waste recycling, memoranda were signed between the sanitary company Zero Waste and Technic Destroy LLP (Kazakhstan), as well as between NO WASTE LLC and Food Waste LLP (Kazakhstan) in the field of waste recycling.
36 more agreements were also signed within the framework of the international exhibition with the participation of all regions of Uzbekistan and large companies from China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Norway and Belarus, as well as domestic enterprises specializing in waste recycling and production of equipment in this field.
In particular, agreements have been signed:
· Waste processing for the production of fuel for cement plants, the construction of wastewater treatment plants, the installation of filters in public catering outlets, the introduction of underground waste containers, as well as the production of flower and wood pots made of plastic and the purchase of 10 vending machines for the reception of recyclable waste in the Bukhara region.
· Processing of food, plastic, glass and aluminum waste, as well as the purchase of small-sized scooters for the removal of solid household waste in the Jizzakh region.
· Processing of food waste in Navoi region.
· For the purchase of containers for household waste in Namangan region.
· Recycling of paper, organic waste and lithium-ion batteries in the Samarkand region.
· For the supply of waste sorting and recycling machines in Surkhandarya region.
· On the introduction of recycling technology at landfills of solid household waste in the Syrdarya region.
· For the construction of a lithium-ion battery recycling and food waste recycling plant in the Tashkent region.
· Exchange of experience in the processing of organic waste, solid household and construction waste for the production of finished products in the Ferghana region.
· Recycling of recycled polymers and plastics, supply of polyethylene pellets and containers for household waste in the Khorezm region.
· For the processing of organic waste, recycling and recycling of batteries and accumulators from electric vehicles, as well as for the design and construction of biological wastewater treatment facilities in the city of Tashkent.
Thus, within the framework of Eco Expo Central Asia 2025, significant progress was made in cooperation in the field of waste management, which is important not only for ensuring environmental sustainability, but also for the development of a circular economy.
