During the meeting, prospects for expanding bilateral trade, economic, investment and financial and technical cooperation were discussed, and the dynamics of the growth of the number of joint ventures with the participation of Japanese capital in Uzbekistan implementing projects in priority sectors was highly appreciated.

Mechanisms and joint actions to attract technologies, management and know-how of leading Japanese companies to Uzbekistan for the implementation of new joint investment projects in the fields of pharmaceuticals, textiles, education, mechanical engineering and other areas were discussed in detail. An agreement has been reached on the organization of monthly round tables with the participation of representatives of Japanese business circles.

The parties also discussed the possibility of increasing the financial and technical assistance of the Government of Japan for the implementation of socially significant projects in our country. Takashi Hatori expressed readiness to continue active cooperation, both within the framework of ongoing projects and with the aim of jointly developing new initiatives.

The course of preparation for Uzbekistan's participation in the World Exhibition in 2025 in Osaka is considered separately.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further enhance successful cooperation and worked out a format of joint actions for the practical implementation of existing agreements, the press service of the MIPT reports.
