According to the Law, State bodies and other organizations, as well as citizens, immediately inform the Agency for Youth Affairs and its territorial divisions about violations of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of minors, as well as about the identification of minors and families in a socially dangerous situation and in need of State social support.

The Law establishes that the Agency and its territorial divisions also perform the following functions:

  • prevention of neglect and delinquency among minors;
  • prevention of offenses;
  • protection of children from information harmful to their health.

The law establishes that the Agency is a specially authorized public administration body in the field of state youth policy, the legal channel of the Ministry of Justice reports.
