Documents signed to strengthen the strategic partnership and develop allied relations

    Bilateral documents were signed following the Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan Summit.

    President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed historical documents – the Treaty on Allied Relations and the Treaty on the Demarcation of Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan State Border.

    Another 15 documents were signed at the level of governments, ministries and agencies, and large companies of the two countries, providing for further enhancement of multifaceted cooperation.

    Among them are the agreements on the establishment of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation “Central Asia”, on cooperation in environmental protection, on collaboration in higher and postgraduate education, the Protocol on Amendments to the Intergovernmental Agreement on the Conditions for Mutual Travel of Citizens of July 7, 2000.

    Memorandums were signed in the strategic reforms, the development of electronic commerce, forestry, public service, roadmaps to enhance cooperation between Tashkent and Turkestan, Navoi and Kyzylorda, Jizzakh and Turkestan regions, as well as agreements on the implementation of projects in energy, chemical industry, transport and logistics.

    Trade contracts and investment agreements worth $8 billion were also signed.
