President Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Samarkand region to get acquainted with the progress of the implementation of reforms and the life of the population.
The Head of state will visit education institutions, new facilities, and industrial and service enterprises. It is planned to hold a meeting with the participation of responsible persons on the socio-economic development of the region.
On December 11, upon arrival in Ashgabat, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

On 25 November, an extraordinary session of the Samarkand Regional Council of People’s Deputies was held. President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the session.
On 18 November, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Asian Development Bank led by its President Masato Kanda.
