The Climate Change Conference will be attended by heads of state and government from more than 150 countries, heads of authoritative international organizations, and financial institutions.
The agenda of the event includes issues of implementing the main provisions of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, countering modern environmental challenges and threats, and broad international cooperation to promote the goals and objectives of green development.
It is envisaged that the President of Uzbekistan will address the summit’s plenary session and hold several bilateral meetings and talks.
It should be noted that the Republic of Uzbekistan joined the UN Framework Convention in 1993. In 2018, the country became a party to the Paris Agreement.
