A pre-investigation check conducted by the Yangihayot district branch of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office revealed that R.T., who had a previous conviction, gained the trust of his acquaintance M.Kh. Under the pretext of delivering 4 tons of tomatoes, he took $4,000 and spent the funds on his own needs.
It was later discovered that, in order to avoid repaying the actual debt, R.T. gave the victim $4,000 in counterfeit $100 bills.
Investigative actions are currently underway.
