Fragments of Mi-8 helicopter that crashed in Karelia found at bottom of Lake Onega

The Russian Emergencies Ministry reported that the Mi-8 helicopter of the North-West Aviation Rescue Center lost contact with three crew members while conducting a training flight over Lake Onega in Karelia on February 4. The remains of the helicopter were found 11 km from the coast, and its parts were found at the bottom of the lake at a depth of 40-50 m.
The message reads: "At 21:16 Moscow time, divers pulled out one of the dead crew from the water. He was found inside the helicopter."
The remaining two crew members are still unknown. He said divers would search until 12:00 a.m. Moscow time, after which they would use a remote-controlled robot to probe the bottom of the lake.
