Shavkat Mirziyoyev: The image of teachers always stands before my eyes when implementing each reform

The social policy of Uzbekistan aims at implementing transformations in each mahalla and addressing the needs of the population. Infrastructure is being consistently developed in Yangi Batosh mahalla of Karshi district. The mahalla was formed in 2021 and did not have a school. More than 500 boys and girls attended the school, located 10 kilometers from the mahalla.

The construction of a new school has recently been completed here. During the visit to the mahalla, the President got acquainted with the school.

The educational institution is designed for 660 students. There are more than thirty classrooms, a library, a meeting room, a canteen, a STEM lab, a computer lab, and career guidance rooms. Outdoor and indoor sports facilities, traffic safety lanes have been organized.

The main activity of the school education system in Uzbekistan is teaching young people at least two foreign languages and one modern profession. The conditions for this have been created in the new school. Students study sewing, jewelry, culinary, hairdressing, electrical engineering, computer and mobile phone maintenance, and robotics in specially equipped classrooms.

The Head of state talked with students.

“We are creating such conditions so that schoolchildren knew foreign languages and a profession at the end of school. The 11th grade will be the class that gives a start in life. If every student achieves this goal and finds his place in society, the foundation of Uzbekistan will be strong”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

Here the President talked with Kashkadarya's teachers.

“The image of teachers always stands before my eyes when implementing each reform, when making decisions”, the Head of state said. – It’s no secret that before children were taken out for cotton for three months. In Kashkadarya alone, 155,000 student places were missing. Therefore, 1 trillion UZS were allocated to the region. 215 schools have been built. Today, Kashkadarya ranks first in the country in terms of the number of schools. The salaries of teachers have also increased. We will continue this work. But most importantly, there must be quality. It depends primarily on the knowledge, outlook, dedication of teachers.

Teachers spoke about their activities at the meeting and expressed their opinions and suggestions.
