Police spokesperson Frederic Papaux stated that authorities are investigating the possibility of a "deliberate act," though final conclusions will only be drawn once the investigation is complete. The bus involved in the incident belonged to PostBus, a subsidiary of the national postal service. Swiss media outlets released footage showing the vehicle completely overwhelmed in flames.
"Rescue services arrived at the scene to find the bus entirely in fires," a regional government statement read. According to police, three victims with severe injuries were transported to the hospital, while two others received medical treatment at the scene. The prosecutor's office has launched a criminal investigation to determine the circumstances of the tragedy, reported by report.az.
