Opening the ceremony, Minister of Culture and Tourism Ozodbek Nazarbekov stressed that the award ceremony, established on the basis of the relevant decree of the Head of State and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is being held for the first time in the history of New Uzbekistan.

"Most importantly, the candidates were determined by online voting by the general public based on the principle of openness and transparency on the platform of national competitions," the minister said. - More precisely, those who were recognized as the best in their field today were objectively evaluated by the people."

It is worth noting that the nominees for the award were selected in 20 nominations among representatives of theater, circus, pop, traditional, academic, folklore, composition, dance, as well as fine and applied arts, artistic creativity and other areas of culture and art.

It is worth noting that those who still work in the library field have not received recognition. The nomination "The best librarian of the year" is included in the national award in the field of culture and art "Stars of New Uzbekistan".
