It's no secret that everyday work is often accompanied by stress. The results of a study by American scientists have shown that such a condition negatively affects the human cardiovascular system.

During the trial, more than 3,500 subjects were analyzed. People filled out questionnaires, which, in particular, indicated the level of so-called "work stress". Their heart health was assessed by a number of factors: the presence of bad habits, physical activity, excess weight, high blood pressure and blood sugar levels, writes RuNews24.ru.

It turned out that regular and really stressful situations at work could contribute to the development of pathologies of the cardiovascular system in 25% of cases. It is noteworthy that for 27% of the participants in the experiment, stress at work did not have a negative effect on the state of the heart.

The scientists plan to direct the results of this study, in particular, to the development and implementation of effective strategies for managing the stressful state of people in the workplace.
