Improving social infrastructure issues discussed in Termez

    During a meeting with activists of Surkhandarya region, the President of Uzbekistan focused on improving social infrastructure.

    This year, according to “Obod qishloq” (Prosperous Village) and “Obod mahalla” (Prosperous Neighborhood) programs, improvement is carried out in 483 villages and mahallas of the region. 1.6 trillion UZS were allocated for this. This year, multi-storey buildings with 3,500 apartments will be built in the region.

    It was also decided to repair 1,230 kilometers of roads by October 1, to carry out the reconstruction of 700 kilometers of water supply networks, 28 kilometers of sewerage, to build an electric network – a thousand kilometers.

    President Shavkat Mirziyoyev informed the population of Termez that 70 billion UZS will be allocated from a special fund for the uninterrupted supply of natural gas and the construction of an additional gas pipeline. The Head of the state also noted that this winter in Termez there should be no problems with a gas supply, for this it is necessary to take all measures.

    At the meeting, the responsible persons provided information regarding the gas supply. As noted, last year there were gas supply interruptions for some reason. To solve this problem, another branch will be extended from the large Muzrabad – Dushanbe gas pipeline in Termez, and a stable gas supply will be established in the territory where residents of 54 thousand houses live. The activities will be carried out until November.
