"Yes, it's true, flour has risen in price in the markets. However, this is a temporary situation. The main reason for the price increase is the situation on the world market due to the political crisis between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the high cost of imported flour. However, there are enough flour reserves in Uzbekistan. In the coming days, an additional 50 thousand tons of local flour will be delivered to the market. This stabilizes the price.
The liberalization of flour prices will create a competitive environment. Prices will not increase, only in Tashkent, a change in the cost of molded bread (popularly - a loaf) is expected. On the contrary, prices are forecast to fall in the markets," T. Mirzayev said.
