On the second day of the visit, the members of the working group of the Ministry of Transport visited the city of Busan, where they held talks with the heads of the Busan City Hall and the administration of the Busan Seaport Administration, and also got acquainted with infrastructure projects in the field of transport and road management. In particular, negotiations were held with the Vice-President of the Busan Administration for the Management of the Seaport Kim Gwang-min on logistics, transit and cargo delivery.
During the negotiations, the Busan Seaport Administration announced its readiness to organize free training courses for 10 representatives of the Ministry of Transport in Busan in order to develop young personnel in the field of transport and logistics, improve their skills in the effective use of ports in export-import processes.
A meeting was held with the Deputy Mayor of Busan, Lee Byung-jin, to discuss the prospects for the development of bilateral relations between our countries in the field of transport, road management and port transportation. At the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly develop public transport using Korean experience, exchange experience in the construction of highways and bridges.
Also on this day, a meeting was held at the Kimhae International Airport in Busan with the executive director of this airport, Jae Hee Park, on cooperation in the field of aviation, airport development. During the talks, Jae-hee Park said that in the future it is planned to establish flights between major and historical cities of Uzbekistan and Busan, in connection with which the financial and economic aspects of these flights, receipts and other calculations are currently being worked out.
It was noted that on the basis of these calculations, the Uzbek side, after negotiations with the air carrier, has the opportunity to establish flights between the city of Busan and the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara. The parties agreed to establish mutually beneficial cooperation on the launch of this additional flight and provide practical assistance in accelerating the necessary internal processes, the press service of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
