During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening scientific and technical cooperation in the field of engineering and technology, the creation of advanced engineering schools, the opening of a branch of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University in Uzbekistan, as well as the announcement of a competition for joint scientific research in 11 areas.
The meeting also discussed organizational issues related to the Forum on Innovative Development of the CIS member States and the next meeting of the Interstate Council for Cooperation in Scientific, Technical and Innovative Fields of the CIS member States, which will be held in Tashkent on April 30 this year.
Future areas of cooperation were identified to further strengthen strategic ties.
