    As part of the return visit to Korea, the Uzbekistan Airports delegation held a number of meetings with representatives of Korea Airports Corporation (KAC) and visited several aviation industry facilities.

    The Acting Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports Javlonbek Umarkhodzhayev and the President of the CAS Yoon Hyung-Joong signed a memorandum of understanding, which includes several areas of cooperation. The main vector was a joint project to create an aviation Training Center for employees of airports in Uzbekistan.

    The center will be created on the basis of KAC's innovative experience with the support of a grant from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), which will finance the construction and equipping with modern equipment.

    The document also covers cooperation on the exchange of information and experience in the field of airport management, the exchange of experts for projects and business initiatives, the development of joint programs and projects in the aviation industry, staff training for effective airport management.

    "A key component of cooperation with KAC is the creation of an Aviation Training Center at Uzbekistan Airports, supported by a KOICA grant. To date, more than 8 thousand people work at airports in Uzbekistan, and professional development of employees is an integral part of airport activities. The creation of such a center is necessary for the continuous improvement of technological capabilities and operational standards in accordance with the best international practices. In addition, Uzbekistan Airports plans to work closely with KAC in terms of the introduction of advanced methodologies and practices of aviation training," said Javlonbek Umarkhodzhayev, Head of Uzbekistan Airports.

    During the trip, the delegation visited the KAC Aviation Training Centers in the cities of Seoul and Cheongju, where they got acquainted with advanced methods of personnel training. In addition, representatives of Uzbekistan Airports got acquainted with the work of Kimpo International Airport (Seoul) and visited the Aviation Academy of Incheon International Airport. A meeting was also held with JEJU Air to discuss potential cooperation.
