Uzbekistan and Kaluga Region strengthen cooperation in nuclear energy

    Governor of Kaluga Region Vladislav Shapsha held a working meeting with Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov. Plans for further cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the region were discussed within its framework.

    "It is important for me to help our enterprises work with Uzbekistan. This includes developing cooperation. We have discussed a number of specific issues today. There is a great interest in cooperation in the nuclear energy sector," the governor wrote in his telegram channel.

    He recalled that last year an agreement was signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Tashkent and Kaluga region. Currently, more than 30 companies from the region export their products to Uzbekistan. Goods from the republic are also in great demand. During a recent business mission to Uzbekistan, manufacturers of medical screening systems, weighing equipment, and robotics held talks.
