Uzbekistan and KOICA intend to implement projects worth 300 million dollars

    On September 9 of this year, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with President of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Chang Won Sam.

    During the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of the development of multifaceted cooperation with the Republic of Korea, which is one of the priority foreign policy and foreign economic partners of Uzbekistan.

    KOICA's contribution to the development of education, public administration, medicine, and digitalization in Uzbekistan, in which more than 40 projects and programs worth more than $ 250 million have been implemented, was emphasized.

    At the same time, specific directions for further enhancing cooperation were agreed, including holding joint events in the regions of the country, implementing infrastructural and socially significant regional development projects, as well as attracting consulting and technical assistance to projects to improve the management mechanisms of export and investment policy in Uzbekistan.

    Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and KOICA, which includes 29 promising projects worth $ 300 million in the areas of digitalization of public administration and administration, combating climate change and the development of education.
