Uzbekistan and Russia discuss new opportunities for cooperation in the field of tourism

    Within the framework of the "Year of Tourism of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation", with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia, presentations of the tourism potential of our country for more than 60 representatives of the tourism business of Moscow and the Moscow region were held at the national pavilion of Uzbekistan at VDNH in Moscow.

    Speaking at the events, the head of the delegation of Uzbekistan, First Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee Jamshid Abdusalamov, presented information about the reforms in the tourism sector carried out in our country in recent years, as well as about new tourist destinations.

    The Russian side was represented by Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure Development Sangaji Tarabayev, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach, First Deputy Head of the Moscow Mayor's Office, Head of the Moscow Tourism Committee Evgeny Kozlov, Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia Maya Lomidze.

    During the events, a special issue of the magazine "RussianTraveler" dedicated to the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was presented.

    The color illustrated edition of Uzbekistan - An Oriental Fairy Tale most fully reveals to readers the attractive sides of visiting all regions and cities of Uzbekistan, as well as tells about the rich culture, traditions, picturesque landscapes, gastronomy and hospitality of the Uzbek people.

    The number of subscribers of the leading Russian travel magazine "RussianTraveler" on social networks reaches 2 million people, when the official page of the magazine has about 4 million monthly views.

    The special edition has been issued in the amount of 10 thousand copies and is distributed among the leading Russian travel operators and companies, business and business circles of Russia, as well as at Moscow airports.

    Meetings in B2B and B2G formats have been organized for representatives of the tourism sector of the two countries to exchange experiences and establish new business contacts.

    A tour of the pavilion of Uzbekistan, revealing the rich cultural and historical heritage of the country, was organized for the guests, as well as the participants of the event tasted Uzbek cuisine and got acquainted with the rich culture of Uzbekistan.
