The GLAA is a UK government agency responsible for licensing the activities of private employment and recruitment agencies, including in the agricultural sector, as well as monitoring compliance with labor laws and improving working conditions. The main task of the structure is to prevent the exploitation of workers and protect their rights, according to the Dunyo news agency.
During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for bringing Uzbek-British cooperation in the field of labor migration to a new level and reached a number of agreements.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Migration Agency and GLAA.
The document is aimed at streamlining the process of attracting labor from Uzbekistan to the UK, increasing the number of migrant workers, as well as creating additional mechanisms to effectively protect the rights and interests of our citizens working in this country.
