During the
visit of the delegation of the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan
for Ecology and Climate Change to the Republic of Korea, headed by Deputy
Chairman I. Kutbiddinov, the Korean experience in the field of environmental
vocational education, training of specialists, and interaction between
educational institutions was studied.
One of the
outcomes of the visit was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between
Green University and Ulsan College. The document provides for the development
of academic and educational cooperation, the exchange of teaching staff,
administrative personnel, and students, the conduct of joint research, as well
as the organization of lectures, seminars, and symposia.
At Korea
Polytechnics, the Uzbek delegation familiarized themselves with the system of
vocational training and practice-oriented education, as well as with approaches
to training specialists taking into account the modern requirements of the
labour market and the implementation of environmentally oriented technologies.
The
experience of Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries was studied
in the field of vocational and practical training, as well as the application
of modern environmental technologies in the educational process.
Based on
the results of the visit, new opportunities have been identified to bring
vocational education closer to production, to develop practical skills among
students, and to improve modern educational programs with an environmental
focus.
It is
expected that the agreements reached will contribute to the further expansion
of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea in the field of
environmental education, vocational training, and the development of qualified
specialists for the “green” economy.
