Iceland, Ireland, Austria, New Zealand and Singapore are among the safest countries in the world, which traditionally occupy the top ranks of the rating. At the same time, Yemen, Sudan, South Sudan, Afghanistan and Ukraine, which are at the bottom of the list, are recognized as the least safe countries.
The growth of Uzbekistan's position in the rating indicates stability, improved public order and effective security measures, which helps attract investment and develop international cooperation.
The Global Peace Index (GPI) is an international rating that evaluates the level of peace and security in countries around the world. It is compiled by the Institute for Economics and Peace and shows how peaceful and safe the country is.
The main evaluation criteria:
1. The level of violence and crime - the number of internal conflicts, the level of murders, violence and crimes.
2. Internal security - the stability of the government, the level of protests and riots.
3. External conflicts - participation in international wars, the number of deaths in conflicts.
4. Military activity - the level of militarization, defense spending, and the number of armed forces.
The final score reflects the overall degree of peacefulness and security in the country. The lower the score, the more peaceful the country is considered.
