Uzbekistan has established diplomatic relations with Djibouti

    On May 2, a joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Djibouti was signed in New York.

    On behalf of the governments of the two countries, the document was signed by the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the United Nations, Ulugbek Lapasov, and the Permanent Representative of Djibouti to the United Nations, Mohamed Doualeh, reports the Dune news agency.

    The parties expressed their readiness to further develop cooperation within the framework of international organizations, including the United Nations and its specialized agencies.

    An agreement was reached to intensify cooperation in the search for mutually beneficial areas of bilateral cooperation.

    Earlier, on March 14, 2024, a joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Gambia was signed in New York.
