A meeting with representatives of the OECD devoted to the analysis of the public administration system was held in the ASR

It was attended by the First Deputy Director of the ASR Abdullah Abdukadirov, experts from the OECD Department of Public Administration Adam Ostri, Kapusin Kerboas, Simon Calvert, Ivan Stola, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the Agency for Civil Service Development.

At the meeting with OECD experts, preliminary analytical materials on strategic planning in Uzbekistan were discussed. Foreign experts also got acquainted with the system of interdepartmental cooperation in Uzbekistan, as well as with the main functions and tasks of the Agency for Strategic Reforms.

OECD experts reported that during this mission, negotiations with relevant ministries and departments are expected, as well as discussions on civil service issues, gender principles in strategic planning, and regulatory processes.

As part of the cooperation in this direction, it was decided that the ASR, together with the Ministry of Justice, will consider the final version of the draft. The OECD, in turn, will present recommendations based on international experience aimed at improving the public administration system in the form of an analytical report in September this year.

Uzbekistan is studying foreign experience in hazardous waste management

Timurlan Aitmuratov, Deputy Director General of the Center for State Environmental Expertise under the Ministry of Ecology, took part in the 14th meeting of the open-ended working group of the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal, held in Geneva, Switzerland.
