A photo exhibition "Uzbekistan - the center of Islamic civilization" will be organized in Malaysia

    On March 1, a photo exhibition "Uzbekistan - the center of Islamic civilization" will open at the Museum "Islamic Art of Malaysia" in Kuala Lumpur.

    The exhibition will feature photographs and information about the history of Islam, culture and artifacts characteristic of various civilizations, masterpieces of ancient and rich cultural heritage that have developed on the territory of modern Uzbekistan over the past two thousand years.

    The contribution of Islam to science, education and architecture from the beginning of its spread in Central Asia to the present day will also be presented. Most of the paintings in the exhibition reflect the commonality of Islam and ancient cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent, Nasaf and Termez.

    It is worth noting that visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the intercultural ties on the Great Silk Road, the thousand-year history and culture of the Transoxiana country, the ancient history and culture of the Uzbek people, art, architecture, traditions, all aspects of lifestyle.

    The purpose of the event is to familiarize with the cultural and tourist potential and attractive cultural heritage of our country, as well as to increase the number of tourists from Malaysia.

    The exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of our country in Kuala Lumpur in cooperation with the Museum of Islamic Art of Malaysia, will last until April 27.

    For information: The Museum of Islamic Art of Malaysia was founded in 1998. It is the largest museum in Southeast Asia dedicated to Islamic art and history, with an area of 30,000 sq. m. metre. In 2022, the museum was visited by about 120,000 visitors.
