    MIPT agrees on plans for trade and industrial cooperation with Kazakhstan

    On February 10 of this year, a working meeting was held between the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Beibut Atamkulov, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Kuantyrov and Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation aimed at strengthening economic ties, increasing trade turnover and developing industrial cooperation between the two countries.

    A constructive exchange of views allowed us to identify specific tasks for the near future. We are talking about the abolition of restrictive measures in mutual trade, the allocation of quotas for the supply of agricultural products, the use of electronic systems for certification of the origin of goods, and the modernization of checkpoints.

    In a separate order, the possibilities of activating the activities of the International Center for Industrial Cooperation "Central Asia" and the process of agreeing on a program to increase trade turnover to $ 10 billion were considered.

    Following the meeting, the parties expressed their firm commitment to the speedy practical implementation of the issues discussed, and specific deadlines and responsible persons were outlined.
