The Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation has prepared a draft law providing for new requirements for foreign labor migrants - they are supposed to be expelled from Russia if they do not work according to their profile. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labor.

"The bill provides for the creation of a special document confirming the right of a foreign citizen to temporary employment in Russia. In practice, this means that within the framework of an organizational set, a migrant worker will work for a specific employer according to permits. At the same time, a company that directly hires a foreign specialist will make advance payments on them," the press service of the Ministry of Labor reported.

It is noted that the draft law was developed based on the results of the strategic session of the government, it is aimed at increasing the interest of employers in participating in organized recruitment and consolidating such a mechanism as a priority.

"Such a decision will make it possible to exclude cases when, as part of the recruitment process, upon arrival in Russia, a migrant worker could refuse to work, for example, in a construction company that incurred the cost of hiring him, including the cost of air tickets, and switch to a courier service," the ministry's press service stressed. "Moreover, if such an employee expresses a desire to work at another enterprise that is not a participant in the organization, he will have to leave the territory of the Russian Federation within 15 days," the ministry said.

It is noted that for employers employing foreign citizens from visa-free countries, the obligation to obtain a permit to attract such workers is excluded, work permits for this category of migrant workers are issued without taking into account quotas.
