The fifth generation 5G base stations will be installed in Tashkent and in all regional centers

    Within the framework of the SCO Samarkand Summit, Uzbektelecom Joint Stock Company reached an agreement with Chinese companies on the implementation of four investment projects worth 506.8 million US dollars for the development of the telecommunications infrastructure of the republic.

    This was announced at a press conference in AIMK with the participation of the management and officials of Uzbektelecom JSC

    To implement these projects, Uzbektelecom JSC signed only eight contracts with Huawei and ZTE corporations.

    As a result of the implementation of the projects, the following will be achieved:

    • expansion of opportunities and coverage of the population using telecommunication services;
    • improving the quality of services provided;
    • full coverage of highways of international importance with high-speed mobile Internet;
    • full coverage of high-speed mobile Internet on railways throughout the Republic;
    • installation of base stations of the fifth generation 5G standard in the city of Tashkent and the centers of all regions;
    • expansion of the capacity of data transmission networks and trunk transport networks.
