Japanese, American and British scientists were able to accelerate data transmission over the network to 402 terabits per second. The development of a new signal transmission technology continues.

Aston University in Birmingham reported that British, American and Japanese scientists were able to conduct an experiment during which they managed to transmit data at speeds of up to 402 terabits per second using optical fiber. The previous record was 301 terabits per second, according to runews24.ru.

The bandwidth of the fiber was increased due to specially designed amplifiers. The development is still being tested, but only half of this speed may become available for widespread use in the foreseeable future.

For example, the maximum tested data transfer rate allows you to simultaneously launch 134 million movies online or download games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 in a split second.
