    Prospects for further strengthening of Uzbek-Turkish relations discussed in Tashkent

    In particular, the issues of expanding the Turkish school in Tashkent, naming one of the streets of the city after the first President of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, as well as the creation of a Turkish garden in the capital of Uzbekistan were discussed.

    Tashkent city Khokim Shavkat Umurzakov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar. During the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for further strengthening Uzbek-Turkish relations.

    Shavkat Umurzakov stressed that relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey are developing dynamically, which is a direct result of the strategic partnership established by the leaders of the two countries. He also expressed gratitude for the significant contribution of the Turkish diplomatic corps to the strengthening and development of these ties.

    Olgan Bekar, in turn, thanked for the warm welcome and noted that his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan is coming to an end. The Ambassador shared his views on further development of cooperation, in particular, discussed the expansion of a Turkish school in Tashkent, the naming of one of the city's streets after the first President of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, as well as the creation of a Turkish garden in the capital of Uzbekistan.

    Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to continue an active dialogue and develop mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, which will further strengthen friendship and partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
