On February 9 of this year, the Committee for the Development of Competition and Consumer Protection held a meeting between representatives of the Asian Development Bank mission headed by Senior Economist of the financial sector Andrew McCartney and the staff of the Committee headed by the Chairman of the Committee Sh. Sharakhmetov.

During the meeting, the issues of eliminating the main obstacles in the development of small and medium-sized businesses, problems with ensuring consumer protection in the financial sector, difficulties in the development of the "buy now - pay later" service, legislative and institutional problems were considered.
