The delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bahromjon A’loyev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Sanjay Verma.
During the consultations, a constructive exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues on the Uzbek-Indian agenda, the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, prospects for expanding the legal framework of cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to proposals to activate economic diplomacy, increase mutual trade turnover, and implement joint investment projects, including in the field of industrial cooperation.
The schedule of upcoming contacts between the parliaments, governments and regions of the two countries was considered.
The delegations discussed topical issues of international and regional policy, as well as the Uzbek-Indian dialogue within the framework of multilateral structures, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.
