Now all banks and microfinance organizations will be able to participate in supporting small and medium-sized businesses. This statement was made during an open dialogue between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and entrepreneurs in Nukus.

About 300 entrepreneurs and investors from all regions of the country, as well as more than 40 compatriots who have established business abroad, participate in the dialogue. About 3 thousand business representatives from regional studios take part.

The President of Uzbekistan, among new initiatives to create additional conditions for the development of entrepreneurship, focused on increasing financial resources for small and medium-sized businesses.

It was noted that last year a new system of financial support for small and medium-sized businesses was introduced. A Business Development Bank and an Entrepreneurship Development Company have been established, which have provided micro-loans to more than 35 thousand entrepreneurs totaling 3.5 trillion soums since the beginning of the year. In addition, under the "First Step to Business" program, 115 thousand people who have just started entrepreneurial activity received microloans totaling 1 trillion soums. It was planned to expand this experience in the most practical way.

Thus, the size of micro-loans will be increased 3 times to 300 million soums. At the same time, a pledge will not be required for part of the loan up to 100 million soums.

10 trillion soums will be allocated for these purposes during the year.

Also, a branch of an entrepreneurship Development Company will be established in each region, together they will identify potential entrepreneurs on the ground.

The company's guarantees will be issued to entrepreneurs with a good credit history and a high stability rating.

The state will continue to support microfinance services. In addition to 1.6 trillion soums this year, additional resources in the amount of 1 trillion soums will be allocated for them.

At the same time, the creation of microfinance banks with an authorized capital of at least 50 billion soums will be allowed. At least 70 percent of the loan portfolio of these banks will be used to finance small and medium-sized businesses.

Microfinance organizations will allow entrepreneurs to provide services in foreign currency and operate as a payment organization on the basis of a license.
