Preparations for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup have begun in Uzbekistan

The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for the preparation and holding of the U-20 World Cup in 2027" (No. PP–376 dated 12/15/2025) was adopted.

According to the Resolution, the priorities for organizing and holding the U-20 World Cup in 2027 are as follows:

decent preparation for the World Cup, holding it at a high level;

creation of the necessary infrastructure in accordance with the requirements of the International Federation of Football Associations for the preparation and holding of the World Cup;

creating favorable conditions for providing high-level services to World Cup participants and fans.

The resolution approved the composition of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

In addition, control will be carried out over the alignment of the Yangi Toshkent Central Football Stadium, which is being built on the territory of the city of New Tashkent, with the requirements of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation for prestigious competitions.
